Maybe he just deserved manager of the month despite all the rhetoric ..10 points over the Christmas and New year period.20 points in the last 10 Premier League games.A decent return by any standards.

How am I deflecting Sold0? I've already stated below that Moyes deserves to be manager of the month for these results.....what I don't want is it to be is our template for football which as it stands it is.... we set up to sit back and soak up even against most of the shittiest sides out there......you must of liked watching Bolton back then as well.....

Bill... Man U was a average game that we won well in the end... not sure how we was lucky in that game or we going on the possession stats argument?? Man U deserved fuck all and got fuck all...

BHA yeah it was pretty crap... but if you trawl back thro the match thread the VAST majority on there when they saw our line up said Nil points today... but yeah granted we rode our luck that day and ground out a point... for me it was just a typical shit after christmas mid week game that we have seen loads of before... I did say with Paq' and Kudus out that we might see a few more games like this over the next month... hope not but would not surprise me if it does happen.

Nice deflection mate.... like I said and have stuck up the stats and proof... the type of victory that Moysie got last week that has been derided and pulled apart by a few on here is in the MAIN the type of victory that we have got over their place.... I don't think too many that was there in 89 look back and think... fuck me we was a bit negative that day... fuck we only had a third of possession .... fuck me they had double the shots etc etc... nah it was fuck me we done them on their patch... Bosh

tbf I don't think anyone begrudges Moyes parking the bus in games where teams will pass it around us Arsenal being one of them... but seriously against Man U they were poor we made them look like Barcelona and yes we won but we were lucky, Brighton - what the hell was that about they were there for the taking but we sat back and got a bore draw...

Play whats in front of you by all means but his tactics against teams we should be attacking is the frustration.

I was pretty mangled drinking in the Sun (at the Barn) that day so don't remember much apart from Morley's walk in and Mad Dogs thunderbolt in the last minute so i'll take you word for that... much remember the few weeks before demolition at WHL... that game is etched in my memory banks

We had more possession and shots on target in each of the previous Arsenal away wins under Bilic, Curbishley and Pardew.

Even when we were really struggling we weren’t as boring and cautious as we are now.

Results wise though Moyes probably edges it for MotM. Although I expect Klopp will get it.

Even when we've been shit we've been lucky to have at least one crafted player in our ranks.....Ian Bishop, Don Hutchinson & John Moncur were fantastic ball on the floor players.

Fact is we lost our ability to attract skilful footballing players when we got relegated as the PL prize money kicked off.....they were from there out of our price range unless they had failed elsewhere.

0-2 at their place

Morley & Martin Allen.

We absolutely battered them.

All I've stated is what any manager of any team would/should be expected to do - so no not a f&cking joke?!

Not sure what you think is not true about that statement ....How long have you been a West Ham fan?

Over the years we've had plenty of managers (less than other teams) with plenty of exciting players playing for us...

You go back to the 70's we had a load of home grown players with the addition of Pop Robson, Devo, Jimmy Neighbour.. we played attacking football - we won the FA Cup with mostly home grown players

80s Davis Cross, Pancho, Ray Stewart, Mark Ward, Frankie Mac, Van Der Elst - Lyall brought players through from the youth set up the likes of Alvin Martin, Paul Allen, Pat Holland, George Parris - we played attacking football and won the FA Cup...

90s Bish and Morley, Hartson, Kitson, PDC, Yossi, Berkovic - a whole rack of home grown players - we played attacking football - we won the Inter 2 bob

do you need me to go on?

Yes we've had our ups and downs and Managers have come and gone but in general West Ham Managers have se the team out to try to win games against teams better or worse than us..

Why should we put up the dross Moyes puts out week in week out... I'd put up with it if it was just against Liverpool or Man City but its every week (wolves the exception) against teams we should be competing with....

Get you head out of your arse and see it for what it is - not bloody good enough!

Sold0 thanks for your "Arsenal victories' yawn fest.....but it's not just against Arsenal is it.......it's against nearly every team we play even the shit ones we make to look like Brazil......hence I don't want his shit football becoming our trait.....which it is.....every Arsenal fan you claim to know would have taken great comfort from our win being on the back of stopping decent football being played, they know they are only a decent striker away from sorting their house out......then we'll be waiting another 23 games to win there......

23/1 in their favour under this manager......wow.....

Stepney... the Bilic manager game the Goons had 62% of possession... they had 22 shots to our 8... those are the type of stats that gets a certain few on here frothing... but yeah agreed I loved that result against them as much as the one last week...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/4657206.stm

"It was the home side who dominated the opening quarter as they pinned the visitors in their own half in a high-tempo start".

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger:
"We lost and it's difficult to understand how we lost because their keeper was very busy and our keeper was not busy.
"Overall, commitment was right, the quality of our game was right and we succumbed to basically mistakes that can of course happen in football."

West Ham manager Alan Pardew:
"We set our stall out we rode our luck at times. We mixed it up a bit and got goals. It was a fantastic performance.
"Their back four hasn't played together and we knew we had to expose that, we were always going to threaten them.

"But they really terrorised us for the first 10 minutes.

I'll stand by that we have never gone over there and blown them away...

Bilic first game as manager also. Don't remember parking the bus in that one. Reece Oxford having Ozil in his pocket and all that.

Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
The only exception was the Sol Campbell game. But that's probably because of the aforementioned having an absolute stinker which helped us to a couple of our goals.

Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
Sidey... Arsenal away has in the whole for me been a happy hunting ground... must of seen us win over probably 10 times... first time was 75 in the FA cup my first ever away game... to be fair what I remember about that game was that we got pretty dicked... Merve the Swerve had a blinder... and we sucker punched them thanks to Sparrow goals... the famous 89 Leroy game was the same... McKnight had prob his one only decent game for us and the rest is a Leroy nod of Hammers history... Zamora game... Green had a blinder.... we’ve never gone over there and taken the Goons on at their own game... every game I can think of us getting a result over there it has been methodical, tough to break down and then bang...

No different to last week...

Everyone enjoy Christmas and new year?

The way some of you are posting looks like your liver took a battering.

We, gentlemen are doing fine. However without Paq and Kudas we can defend but our heartbeat is missing - Bowen can't do EVERYTHING on his own.

I've been a long term fan since 2011 as my uncle...er ..grew up in ..er .. Manchester? and if you'd have offered me 4 points in a season against our most bogie team, Brighton I would have snatched your hand off.

If Styden can pull two more rabbits out of his hat we're going to have the best team we've had for YEARS. Cheer the fuck up.

Oh I do expect them to come out blazing.. But I expect more from us.. Yet they're just one place above us so by your rational we should occasionally come out blazing... But nobody expects us to.. Why is that..

Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
He clearly deserves manager of the month with that run.....and for the fact it is the first time he's won at Arsenal in 23 attempts.....as for the football.....cowering inside your own half for the best part of 80 mins to then deliver 1 or 2 sucker punch moments is not what I want to be West Ham's trait.....I thought that was best left in the 90's with a Nolan captained Bolton......and even they had more bollocks than we do now back then......

"Fuck me, people are desperate to not give the manager any credit at all."

Oh and from my post further down where I gave him credit for the games I think he deserves credit for

A great win and performance against Wolves.. A very good 20 cminute period against a poor Man U.

A good win away to Arsenal

So I suppose I'm not that desperate not to give him credit, or should I do so for everything

"That aside if you think letting them absolutely rape us for 45 minutes in which they missed chance after chance is good management I'm lost for words.."

So you don't think a top 4 side will come out all guns blazing at home? Maybe it's best you are lost for words.
